Barry Smith, a local historian, has spent the last 20 years researching the history of the Waymarked Trail. His knowledge and passion for the subject is evident in the quality of the information provided in the app.
As a result of his research, he has been able to identify all the historical locations along the trail. He has also identified many of the buildings that were present at the time of the trail's construction, as well as the names of the people that lived in those buildings.
The app also includes a detailed guide that, with the help of maps and voice-over from Johnny B O'Brien, will guide you along the trail.
